For over 18 years, James “Jim” Bourbeau has practiced in the area of tax litigation and controversy, audit representation, and tax collection resolution.
Jim started his legal career as a Legislative Analyst in the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, and then represented the Employment Development Department (EDD) Tax Branch in the EDD’s Legal Office for six years. For the past 12 years, Jim has been happily helping taxpayers find resolutions for their tax issues.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jim worked in the construction trades, created and taught art and music, and had many other real-world jobs, which prepared him for representing businesses and individuals from all walks of life.
